Press Releases are one of the most useful and easiest methods to drive free traffic to your website.

Usually, Press Releases should be sent when you update your website or launch a new product. They can be used not only online but also offline. You can submit a press release to a PR directory or a local newspaper or radio station.

In this article, I will discuss how you can easily get lot of traffic from Press Releases.

First thing you have to remember is that Press Releases are not articles. So, when you launch a product, let’s assume a weight loss product, you won’t write  the headline as “How You Can Lose Weight” but “ABC.com Presents the Easiest and Safest Way To Lose Weight“. This will be more eye catching and work well. It also gives you more attention of the editor if you send it to local newspapers or radio stations.

Next, you should be sure to include at least 3-4 backlinks to your website. One backlink will be at the end in format http://yourwebsite.com Other links should be in the body in the form of optimized and targeted keywords.

Keep your Press Release simple and just tell about your service/product. Do not go into much detail. A good Press Release should not contain more than 3 paragraphs.

Lastly, make sure to add your full contact information at the end. Some directories like PR.com let you make a profile for your company. It is advisable to complete it too.

So,  follow the above steps correctly, you will get a lot of good traffic for free.  Just remember to submit your PR to multiple directories for maximum effect.
